Dear fellow Democrats,
Our County Convention, on April 9, will elect new OCDP officers. Now that the OCDP has a year-round office, it will be engaged in citizen education, voter registration, and political issues all the time. There will be a lot more responsibilities for everyone in leadership if the OCDP is to become a successful organization.
The nominating committee consists of Mariah McPherson, Connie Mullinix, Samantha Cabe, Tom Tillett, and Barry Katz. The Orange County Democrats nominating committee has had more than its fair share of disruptions in the process. Sadly, Mariah McPherson had a stroke and was replaced by Albert Kittrell. There were family crises that affected the availability of other members and requests were made that required answers from the NCDP chair. The following list of county officers is suggested:

2nd Vice: Brian Crawford
3rd Vice: Nancy Park
Secretary: Rosie Benzonelli
Treasurer: Tom Henkel
We'll see you on April 9 at the County Convention at the new Courthouse on East Margaret Lane, Hillsborough. Lunch will start at 11:30 and the meeting about 1-1:30.
