Early Voting Information

The 2012 Early Voting schedule has been released by the Orange County Board of Elections. Below is the schedule for this year's elections. Early Voting begins on Thursday, October 18, 2012.

Orange County has 5 early voting locations:

  • Orange County Board of Elections, 208 South Cameron Street, Hillsborough
  • Carrboro Town Hall, 301 W. Main St., Carrboro
  • Mt. Zion AME Church, 5124 NC Highway 86, north of Hillsborough
  • Rams Head Cafeteria/Parking Lot, UNC Campus, Ridge Road, Chapel Hill
  • Seymour Senior Center, 2551 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill

Same Day Registration: Allows a person to register and vote on the same day during the Early Voting period. A US citizen, at least 18 years old by November 6, 2012 (General Election Day) and a county resident for at least 30 days, may fill out a registration form at one of the Early Voting sites, present a document with his/her name and current Orange County address, and then vote.
