“ IMMIGRATION ISSUES IN NORTH CAROLINA AND BEYOND”
OCDW June 24th Meeting Starting at 7:30pm

The June 24 meeting of the OCDW will focus on immigration issues
with discussants Paul Cuadros and Hannah Gill. Both are experts
on North Carolina’s Latino/a immigration and migration issues and are
authors, whose books will be available for sale and signing at the
meeting.
Paul is author of A Home on the Field: How One Championship Soccer Team Inspires Hope for the Revival of Small Town America
(The small town is Siler City).
Hannah is co-author of Going to Carolina del Norte: Narrating Mexican
Migrant Experiences, and the author of The Latino Migration Experience
In North Carolina: New Roots in the Old North State.
Members may be interested in attending “Papers,” a documentary film that highlights stories of undocumented youth, with a community discussion to follow.
